Abstract
Aims:
Analyze the most relevant aspects of pregnant affected with thr human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) before, during and after of gestation and inform basic measures in caring and preventing mother to child transmission. Be addressed identifying main risk factors associated with these pregnancies.
Methods: was investigated through the magazine Ginecología y obstetricia clínica publications.
Results: Treatment for HIV that is highly recommended for all women, ZDV (zidovudine). Additionally, a cesarean section at 38 weeks of pregnancy.
Conclusions: the promotion is the key to prevent in HIV pregnant women and to preventing mother - child HIV transmission in most cases, and this is work of all the midwifery.
